[Beginner's Guide] Spoils and Currency Basic Guide

Translate
Hey Hunter! Surely you must have joined Torchlight: Infinite or are on the way to Leptis. Here is some intel on spoils. Hopefully, it will provide some insight on the resources in Leptis.
- Spoils: The dropped items and items from defeated monsters. Currently spoils mainly consist of gear, commodities, Fate Cards, and beacons.
- Primocryst: Very rare currency in Leptis. It is mainly obtained via in-app purchase in addition to the Merits system, Season Guide, and Reading Help.
Spoils: Gear
The most commonly dropped spoils are gear. Gear consist of 5 qualities:
1. Normal Gear - Gray without any affix.
2. Magic Gear - Blue with 1~2 affixes.
3. Rare Gear - Purple with 3~5 affixes.
4. Super Rare Gear - Pink with 6 affixes.
5. Legendary Gear - With special exclusive affixes, but cannot be used for crafting or enchanting.
How to pick the gear you have claimed? Most pieces of gear require to be identified after being claimed. You can check a piece of gear's affix stats after its identification:
1. Affixes' number: The more affixes there are, the more potentially useful affixes there could be.
2. Affixes' tiers: Tap gear details to view affixes' tiers, with T1 being the best.
3. Affixes' types: Check if the affixes' stats match your builds and skills.
4. You can store unused Legendary Gear in Inventory. Since different characters under the same account share an inventory, a piece of gear that has no use right now may be used by another character.
Unwanted gear can be sold to the Trader in Hideout exchange for Flame Residue, which can be used to exchange Flame Dust, a basic crafting material.
Spoils: Commodities
In addition to gear, spoils also consist of Embers, Crafting Materials, Fossils, Water of Forgetting, Netherrealm Resonance, and Energy Cores. Commodities are necessary in all phases, so don't miss any of them!
Embers
There are over ten types of Ember in the game. Embers are necessary materials for crafting, and their types decide the affixes' directions in crafting, helping to improve stats for certain aspects.
Crafting Materials
There are currently 3 types of Crafting Material: Flame Dust, Flame Sand, and Flame Elementium. Flame Dust is used to crafting gear with 0 to 1 affix. Flame Sand is used to crafting gear with 2 to 4 affixes. Flame Elementium is a very rare Orange material that is used to craft gear with 5 to 6 affixes.
Fossils
There are currently 2 types of Fossils:
Acute Fossil — Grants higher probability to add a new affix during crafting.
Spiral Fossil — Grants higher probability to generate affixes with higher tiers during crafting.
Both types of Fossils are very rare and of Orange quality. Use them wisely.
Water of Forgetting
It's free to reset Talent before Lv.70, but it is not after Lv.70. Use Water of Forgetting to obtain 1 Talent Reset Point.
Netherrealm Resonance
Base affix to refresh Netherrealm Stages. It is widely used in late game.
Energy Cores
Used to reset Energy for gear. Widely used in mid-late game.
Spoils: Fate Cards
Fate Cards are very important spoils. Collect different types of Fate Cards to exchange Embers, Crafting Materials, regular gear and Legendary gear from the Trader.
Spoils: Beacons
Beacons are very important spoils that serve as tickets to unlock Netherrealm Challenge.
Beacons are dropped in battles and consist of different ranks. The higher a Beacon's rank is, the more difficult Netherrealm it can unlock. Use 3 Beacons of the identical name and rank to exchange a Beacon of 1 higher rank from the Trader. Use 2 Beacons of the identical name and rank can only exchange a Beacon Blind Box of the same rank.
Primocryst
Primocryst is currently the only paid-to-obtain currency in the game. In addition to expanding Bag and Inventory Pages, Primocryst can be used to purchase specific items in Shop: Revival Tokens that can revive a character in battle to get spared from EXP deduction penalty; Sands of Time that are used to exchange Talent Reset Points; Insight Crystals and Fantasy Crystals that are cost to draw pets and outfits in Boon system.
Recharge is not available during this closed beta test. Players will receive Primocryst via mail.
Above are the basic introduction on in-game spoils. In summary: Purchase Inventory Pages and Bag Pages with Primocryst, identify gear, and don't miss any spoils!

Flame residue will start to drop although it is very rare. I recommend you use a pact focusing on DROPS (there's a few summon, drops, and some others) later when you have access to these just equip one that focuses on residue drops rate increase. I'm lvl 49 and after using that pact card I am able to find 1-3 residue a level and sometimes I get the level 2 residue so it's worth it to sacrifice an attack boosting pact for a drops pact and then buy all legendaries when you find a few flames. Gl and have fun I myself and trying new things I've probably respecced my character 100+ times to find the best combination and I plan on doing that with all classes but for now it's spacetime dude good luck hope that brings some clarity just play the game and keep progressing these answers will answer themselves

Does anyone know how to exactly exchange the Fate cards for what it says on each card? The trader in town doesn't seem to do anything but turn items into the flame things.
