Tekken 8 and its Ultimate Edition go on sale for the first time since launch with a nice discount

Tekken 8 is rapidly coming up on its third full month since launch, and though it sold over 2 million copies pretty quickly, there's obviously a ton of people who haven't picked it up yet.

Those who've been waiting for Tekken 8 to go on sale may be in luck, as Bandai Namco's new fighter just received the first official discount we've seen (at least on one platform).

Hunter x Hunter Nen Impact's character select screen has been revealed and fans are concerned its roster might be fairly small

The first ever gameplay footage of the upcoming Versus-style fighting game, Hunter x Hunter Nen Impact has been unveiled ahead of its Evo Japan 2024 show floor appearance. Fans have been anxiously awaiting this gameplay reveal so that they could finally confirm that it will be a traditional fighter, and from the looks of it, it will be.

However, some fans are sharing concerns with the game's visuals already, and with the reveal of this title's character select screen, there are also other concerns on social media that are starting to surface. Not only did we get our first look at said character select screen, but some fans were quick to notice that there doesn't appear to be many character slots available on it — especially considering typical rosters for Versus-style games.

Bandai Namco suspends more Tekken 8 accounts, additional unauthorized activity added to list of ban worthy transgressions

The online world of Tekken 8 has been a bit marred by cheaters and bad actors since the hot new title dropped back in January, and developer Bandai Namco has been working to update the experience to limit nefarious actions.

In addition to cheating, plugging (disconnecting early), inappropriate names or custom creations, glitching, rank boosting, and unauthorized use of mods, Bandai has added yet another transgression that will get players' accounts suspended should they engage in it.

New Mortal Kombat 1 tier list from Tweedy offers bold take on the game's newest character

The main roster for Mortal Kombat 1 grew just recently as the many souls that make up Ermac joined the fray in mid April, and pro player Tweedy has come up with a new tier list that includes the latest DLC character.

Tweedy's list spreads the game's 27 main characters across four tier levels and is detailed down to the individual, left to right placements. He does not include the Kameo characters on this list, thought does consider the potential of each fighter given their best Kameo match ups.

This meme of Foghorn Leghorn explaining to Justin Wong why he got hit by Evo Moment 37 is the funniest thing you'll see this week

Well... that's certainly not a headline I expected to ever write — but here we are.

For some reason, there's a Foghorn Leghorn meme going around right now that seems to have made its way into the FGC. We're thankful that it did, though, as one was created that sees the Looney Tunes character scolding fighting game legend Justin Wong and explaining to him why he got hit by the iconic Daigo parry during Evo Moment 37 — and it's pure gold.

Tekken 8 is quickly approaching the three-month mark since it first launched at the end of January, and it's looking like the new game sheen has aleady lost a fair bit of its luster.

Following a mixture of issues inside the game and out as well as some less popular business decisions, Tekken 8's previously strong reviews have now dipped into the red.

Is Ermac worth the money in Mortal Kombat 1?

Ermac was recently made available to download and play in Mortal Kombat 1 for everybody. He was absent for all of Mortal Kombat 11 (aside from a small cameo in the Krypt), so it's nice to finally see him back.

However, the Ermac in Mortal Kombat 1 isn't the same as the Ermac from Mortal Kombat 9 and Mortal Kombat X. The character has undergone some notable changes since we last had the opportunity to play as him. Are these changes enough to make him worth the money or did NetherRealm Studios mess up his redesign?

Here's what the very first match up ever in Street Fighter looks like at the highest level in Street Fighter 6

The first ever Street Fighter game was released back in 1987 and featured only two playable characters: Ryu and Ken. Those who walked up to the machine in arcades were able to pick between one Shoto or the other and engage in 1v1 combat, making Ryu vs. Ken the very first Street Fighter match up ever that could be played between two human players.

Here almost 40 years later now, that iconic and classic match up is still being played in the franchise's latest installment, Street Fighter 6. A recent set between two of the best players in the world right now, Tokido and EndingWalker, brings us the gift of not only being an incredible set between two titans, but also show us what that old school, legendary bout looks like at the highest of levels in the latest game.

Fergus2k8 indicates which characters need buffs and which need nerfs in Tekken 8 with a new tier list

Fergus2k8 has released a new tier list for Tekken 8. As opposed to his recently released traditional tier list and ease-of-use tier list, this tier list is designed to indicate which characters are in need of nerfs and which should be buffed.

Needless to say, all 33 fighters have been divided up into one of four tier categories — the "execute" group, the "tone down" group, the "leave them" group, and the "buff a little" group. To be clear, the "execute" group means that these characters should be executed by nerfs.

Rogue appears to reference classic Marvel vs. Capcom attack in new X-Men '97 episode

X-Men '97 so far has been a real nostalgia trip for fans who grew up during the decade, and it certainly seems to help that the people making the cartoon have love for the other media involving Marvel's mutants from the era too.

With the trailer drop for the new X-Men episode 'Rogue Goes Rogue', the power-stealing hero appears to pretty overtly reference one of her classic moves from the Marvel vs. Capcom games.
